Our second Library Lecture of 2023 was on our popular topic Seed Selection and Starting and featured a Seed Swap. Portsmouth Master Gardener Fred Hersey gave an informative talk on the topic as well as practical advice for both novice and advanced seed-starting techniques. Attendees were gifted a lettuce seedling as well as being able to choose from a wide variety of seeds. From vegetables and herbs to more exotic seeds saved and shared by other Portsmouth Master Gardener Volunteers. This event was well attended with over fifty-seven people of all ages coming out eager to learn and share with one another.
