Green Thumb Gardening Series offers Hampton Roads residents classes and workshops in partnership with VCE Master Gardeners. The series consist of five sessions which meet every Wednesday from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM. The cost is $20 for all five sessions. Topics include (order subject to change):
We will meet in-person as COVID conditions allow, following appropriate social distancing guidelines. VCE requires participants to wear masks for all indoor events, regardless of vaccination status. In the event COVID conditions dictate, we will present the series in a virtual format.
February’s free talk will introduce you to the fascinating perennial climbing vine known as hops; how to grow them, the history of their cultivation for use in medicine and beer, and the exploration of hop production in Virginia and America.
